First RegenBell symposium on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine

Annual symposium organized by IDIBELL Regenerative Medicine Program (RegenBell)

27-28 November 2023

RegenBell is proud to have hosted the First RegenBell Symposium on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, succesfully bringing together scientists to foster an inclusive and collaborative platform for research in Regenerative Medicine.

This one-and-a-half-day symposium featured international and local speakers and covered a wide range of topics, including stem cell biology, development, adult stem cells and clinical applications of regenerative medicine. The event facilitated discussions on recent advancements that have significantly expanded our understanding of stem cell biology.

Additionally, it showcased new technologies to study stem cell diversity, function, and differentiation, including advanced imaging techniques, organoids, single-cell omics technologies, and computational tools.

The symposium also included a round table of experts who discussed the practical challenges of translating regenerative medicine strategies to the clinical practice.

In addition to the invited speakers, the symposium featured short talks, flash talks and poster presentations selected from abstracts.

The symposium included the following sessions:

  • Mechanisms of developmental hematopoiesis
  • Aging, metabolism and stem cells
  • Making sense of complexity
  • Stem cells and disease
  • Organ and tissue regeneration
