RegenBell 2024 symposium on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine

Annual symposium organized by IDIBELL Regenerative Medicine Program (RegenBell)

21-22 November 2024

RegenBell is proud to have hosted the RegenBell Symposium on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, succesfully creating an inclusive and collaborative platform for scientists interested in Regenerative Medicine.

This one-and-a-half-day symposium featured international and local speakers and covered a wide range of topics, including stem cell biology, development, adult stem cells and clinical applications of regenerative medicine. Discussions focused on recent advancements that have significantly expanded our understanding of stem cell biology.

Additionally, it showcased new technologies to study stem cell diversity, function, and differentiation, including advanced imaging techniques, organoids, single-cell omics technologies, and computational tools.

The symposium featured Professor Didier Stainier as the keynote speaker.

In addition to the invited speakers, there were short talks and poster presentations selected from abstracts.

The symposium included the following sessions:

  • Development and regeneration of definitive endoderm
  • Stem cell regeneration in aging and disease
  • iPSC for disease modeling
  • Manipulating collective cell behaviour
  • Restoration of homeostasis and tissue repair
